Who knows? But lots of experts think he's holed up somewhere in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province--arid, punishing mountainous terrain along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border (between Kabul and Islamabad on the map above).
That's where, just last week, Pakistani forces began an offensive to root out any unwelcome terrorist guests. Yet if bin Laden's there, what's so hard about getting him? Why do even Pakistani troops have to go on "an offensive" to move around this part of Pakistan?
